Our Guild Meeting is held every second Wednesday morning of the month at the Waterford Old School, Fairfax Street, Waterford, VA 20197. The business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by show and tell and a program. There is time to socialize from 9:30 to 10:00 and after the meeting until 2:00 pm. A Guild Bee on the fourth Wednesday of the month is held in members' homes. Some of the members also enjoy a Bee at the Waterford Old School on the first Wednesday of the month from 10:00 until 2:00. All the Bees are social get-togethers where members work on their own projects. The purpose of Waterford Quilt Guild is to preserve the tradition of quilting and to promote knowledge and understanding regarding the art of quilting. We range from traditional to modern quilting techniques.

Members, who range from beginners to quilt show judges, learn from each other, as well as speakers who are brought in from across the nation to teach valuable quilting techniques. Several Bees are held during the month to bring members and guests together for socializing and project accomplishments. We also provide a mentoring program in an effort to link new members with present guild members.

We encourage you to ask questions, join us, or just plain enjoy our site and learn a thing or two about quilting. We are proud of the contributions many of our members have made to the quilting industry as a whole, and we think you will find our quilt guild a very special blend of people and purpose.

Each year the Guild members create a Raffle Quilt to raise money for quilt-related charitable institutions and educational programs designed to further the art of quilting in our area.
