Guild meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the spacious and sunny auditorium of the Old Waterford School, 40222 Fairfax Street, Waterford, VA 20197 (corner of High Street and Fairfax Street). Parking is next to the building.
Members should wear their Guild name badge to all meetings. Without it they will not be able to participate in the name drawing to win a prize.
Most meetings follow this format:
|Workshop or presentation||12:00-2:00|
The business part of the meeting includes door prizes, reports of Board members and Committee chairs, as well as various announcements, followed by distribution of gifts from secret pals and show-and-tell.
Potluck lunch menu is determined by the Hospitality Committee. The menu varies from month to month, and members sign up to bring specific dishes that fit the overall theme of the menu.
There is time to socialize from 9:30-10:00 before the business meeting and during lunch.
Many of our meetings feature workshops that follow the business part of the meeting. They present wonderful opportunities to learn new techniques and improve quilting skills. All workshops are free to members of the Guild. While we feature nationally known and local quilting personalities as guest speakers, some of our workshops are conducted by Guild members with expertise in particular aspects of quilting.
