Monthly Meetings

THE GUILD HAS A NEW MEETING PLACE!

Guild meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month.

Our new meeting place is:
Leesburg Senior Center
102 North Street, NW # A,
Leesburg, VA 20176
(Between Wirt Street NW and Old Waterford Road/Liberty Street)

Most meetings follow this format:

Business Meeting 10:00-11:30
Show-and-tell 11:30-12:00
Brown Bag lunch 11:30-12:00
Workshop or presentation 12:00-2:00

Social Bee: First Wednesday of each month, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
All members are invited to bring their current sewing projects and sit, stitch, and share their love of quilting.

The business part of each meeting includes door prizes and reports of Board members and Committee chairs, as well as various announcements, followed by show-and-tell. Show-and-tell is a fun part of the meeting when members show the group their recently completed projects.

There is time to socialize from 9:30-10:00, before the business meeting, as well as during the lunch break.

Many of our meetings feature workshops following the business meeting. They present wonderful opportunities to learn new techniques and improve quilting skills. All workshops are free to members of the Guild, though some may include participation fees. While we often feature nationally known and local quilting personalities as guest speakers, some workshops are taught by Guild members with expertise in particular aspects of quilting.
